Welcome to Riverview Elementary School!
After graduating from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay, I began my career teaching 4th grade in Luxemburg-Casco, and then joined the Manitowoc Public School District to teach 6th grade at Stangel and Wilson. I supported the middle school math department as their Student Learning Liaison. While teaching, I worked towards earning my Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Policy and Director of Instruction Licensure from UW-Oshkosh. I served the Washington Middle School community as Associate Principal for two years and most recently was the principal at Chilton Elementary School. I’m grateful to be back in MPSD and so excited to be a Raptor!
When I’m not at school, I try to spend all my time outside tending to my flower beds and gardens and soaking up the sunshine. I love biking the trails around the state, camping, and taking long walks with my dog, Maggie. When the weather deems it to be inside, I love to bake, cook, and read a book with my cat, Emmett. My family is everything to me, so I cruise up North a bit to spend time with them any chance I get.
My experiences in education, both in the classroom and leadership, have shaped my beliefs that all students can and must learn. I am deeply committed to being present and involved with students and staff during the school day, advancing the district’s vision and core values, and empowering others to be their very best selves.
Without a doubt, high levels of education and the growth of kind, capable, and resilient children takes a village. I value collaboration and open communication, so please stay connected with our school and reach out with questions, concerns, and celebrations!
