Kindergarten homework should be fun!
Reading to your child each night makes a tremendous difference in students' ability to read and write.
Practicing sight words can be done in fun ways, with shaving cream, spaghetti noodles, etc. Refer to the yellow sheet from conferences, and please ask for another copy if you've misplaced yours!
Math skills that are easy to practice include counting from 0, counting on from any number (start at 16, 29, or 41!)
Create story problems in real life context. If you are grocery shopping, have conversations such as, "I already put 2 apples in the bag. If I put in 3 more, how many apples will we have?" "I have 5 pieces of Halloween candy left. If I eat 1, how many pieces will there be?"
